I was really tired of having wet, dirt-filled shoes every time I gardened. So I wanted something inexpensive and washable. These are perfect!

I’ve stepped on sticks and the usual things in grass and gardens, and my feet are totally protected. And they dry very quickly! Most importantly, they fit well and are quite comfortable.

I haven’t put them in the washing machine yet, but they seem very durable, especially considering the price.

I’m very happy with them so far!

Best campshoes for backpacking

I got these specifically for backpacking, to be used as Camp shoes to do camp chores. Great because they slip on and off, no laces to deal with. Also love the traction, and the ever slight cushiony soul. They are great for what they were intended for, which is to cross small creeks and streams maybe ankle high or so. If you're going to get water at camp, there's a creek next to you, these shoes are perfect for that task. I wouldn't go traipsing over any Fallen logs or anything, but for grass, or Sandy soil, compact and press dirt, these truly are worth the price. I usually wear socks while wearing them, and put them on when I wake up, wear them throughout the day, and then take them off at night before I turn in.

Honestly, for the price I paid, these are worth their weight in gold. I would totally buy another pair just to have on hand for emergencies, keep in a vehicle, keep by the front door in case you have to run out for whatever reason, earthquake, fire, God forbid some other disaster. Just grab and go type thing.

I love being at the beach and being in the water. I do not like stepping on all the rocks and seaweed etc. that are in the water. So I began a search on water shoes that would be protective and yet not make my feet feel hot or overly constrained.

PROS
I have wide feet and these still allow for great wiggle room.
I usually wear a size 6 shoe. This size was slightly large, but I think that the smaller size would've been too snug.
The solid bottom is very protective (saved me from getting a push pin in my foot just the other day) while also being flexible. The sole is more like a ballet flat.
The opening is perfectly snug to keep out the sand while swimming but not so snug that it leaves a mark.
The material is lightweight so my feet stay cool even on hot days.
The removable insert is held firmly in place by little nubs located on the sole of the shoe.

CONS
The lining on the insert is already peeling off after only 6 uses.
Must remove lining in order for the shoes to dry between uses.

These water shoes definitely fit the bill. They are so comfortable without being overly fitted. The insert has a nice bit of cushioning without being chunky. I haven't had any sand get into the shoes at all. Next best thing to being barefoot. These would definitely have a 5 star review if the lining of the insert was holding up better.

Err on a larger size

Edit: everything I said below stands, except, get two sizes larger. I wear 10.5, ordered 11’s. My foot tends to slide forward in the shoe such that my toes are pushing against the front. It’s okay but not ideal. And you’ll read how many people pushed through the toe area. Well, okay, try keeping your nails groomed and women, long toe nails are gross anyway so stop. I’m not concerned about poking through as much as comfort. I ordered 12’s, received them today just before a beach walk. Perfect!

If you wear a men’s 10.5, get the 11’s. ‘nuff said about that.

These water/beach shoes are very comfortable. Excellent protection against the seashells at the beach. They make walking in sand much easier. I’m sure they will do fine if the sand is hot.

A couple of comments regarding the complaints of no support and the insole coming out. These are water shoes, made for being on the beach and wearing them in the water. They’re not boat shoes, walking shoes, sandals, or even flip flops. I imagine people complaining about support didn’t know what they were buying.

And, regarding the removable insole, yes, it’s supposed to come out. Why? So you can clean the sand from under it inside the shoe, and let the shoe and the insole dry out more thoroughly. You DO NOT want to glue them in as some have tried, or do anything to permanently to fix them in place. Again, those complaints are likely from people who have never worn this type of shoe before.

Bottom line, while I cannot speak about durability yet, I can say they are comfortable, the colors are great, and the functionality is exactly what is expected from this type of shoe.

These shoes are awesome! I just returned from a trip to Jamaica and I ended up wearing these the most, from the streets to paddle boarding. They are soft and feel like a sock, no pressure points or break in period with a flexible but nice rubber sole. They dried quickly and best of all they fit my tiny feet (euro 35)
Only negative was getting them in black, they got really hot from the sun.

I've bought these twice because they are shoes that cost less than $8, and because they are certainly not built to last. I wore my last pair (shown) very infrequently because I was embarrassed by the hole in the toe that showed up very near my first purchase, and because the adhesive attaching the thin fabric to the liners wore away the moment they got wet which made it impossible to slip them on quickly.

But I use them to take out the trash, and I sort of like that at $8 they are almost disposable. So I bought them again because I knew what I was in for, and now you do, too. Next time I hope I remember to order a size up.

They are very comfortable to wear and really light. Along with this, they’re very flexible and can fit neatly in a pocket without damaging them.
The soles inside are really soft and I have even thought of using them as slippers.
Their grip was great, in and out of the water. On the beach, I (mostly) felt in control of my balance thanks to them, even on slippy stones. I think they will be great for any water sports, kayaking etc.
Also, they are very stretchy. When I first got them I thought they weren’t going to fit me as they looked a bit small but I tried them on and they fitted perfectly. A minor issue which I noticed was that the water caused the sole cover to come off slightly (see image).
Overall though, I think they’re going to be a great addition for my holiday…...
